There are wild flowers, raspberries, strawberries, and cranberries as well as spruce trees, birch trees and several manicured lawns. You can sit on the back deck among tree tops and enjoy the majestic views of mountains and the lake or sit by the fire pit in the back lawn that also boasts a view the lake and mountains. . Listen to the call of the loons from a lake that is designated a loon sanctuary. The grounds have been professionally landscaped with several outside sitting areas & a fire pit. To make your stay even more exciting, there are several kayaks to take out on the lake. But, if you are seeking serenity, it can be found simply sitting on the dock and observing the wildlife flourishing all along the shoreline. In the winter, there a fabulous views of the northern lights, ice fishing, snowshoeing and cross country skiing available on the lake or up the road at Government Peak or Hatcher Pass. There is also downhill skiing available at Skeetawk, located at the base of Hatcher Pass.
