Summary: We had such a wonderful time at the Whiteface Lodge! My husband and I often stay there in a one-bedroom place. This time we needed a three-bedroom for three generations to stay together! Gary’s suite was perfect. My parents enjoyed the main floor bedroom with bathroom that overlooked the balcony and Whiteface Mountain. We stayed upstairs in a large master suite while our son’s family including our grandchild shared the other sizable upstairs bedroom. The lodge is perfect for this type of gathering. It is very friendly toward families but yet is spread out enough so that you can find peaceful corners and quiet, adult areas. There is so much to do at the lodge including a movie theatre, bowling alley, fire pits with s’mores, outdoor games like basketball, tennis, mini-golf, bocci, an indoor/outdoor pool, lean-to’s for evening cocktails, a fishing pond, and many more amenities to keep us all busy. We took the convenient shuttle to the beach club on Lake Placid for lunch and my grandson enjoyed the sandy beach. The pub and main dining were nice although I feel that Kanu had better food before COVID and we miss the bar staff who had extensive wine and cocktail knowledge. Overall, we were very happy, relaxed, and content! The suite owner, Gary, was very nice and communicated a couple of time to wish us a great trip and to offer advice about Lake Placid. We will definitely look for his place again if we need a three-bedroom unit. Thanks Gary!
