Summary: An individual identifying themselves as the manager asked me to pay an extra amount per day when I went to check in. Based on his wording, it was a suggested charge. When I inquired further about it, I was offered a 30-minute early check in in exchange for the fee. He explained that the fee was to offset fees and rates incurred from my booking through a third party. I refused to pay this fee but it made me wary my entire trip and had that damper hang over my stay.
