As you walk out the door and into the Catskill Mountain forest, you will revel in the grounding energy of this place, while enjoying the many comforts of modern life.

This chalet holds a cozy living room, full kitchen, dining area, indoor fireplace, grill, outdoor fire pit, wrap-around 2-level deck, and outdoor picnic table.

This first-floor, accessible by ramp, holds 2 bedrooms (with 1 queen bed each), a shared bathroom, the full kitchen, living room and dining area.

Up one flight of stairs are three more bedrooms:
Master: King bed, desk and private bathroom
Dorm: 3 Queen beds and private bathroom
View: 2 Queen Beds and a private bathroom

The bedrooms have air conditioning in the summertime and heating in the chillier times of year. The indoor fireplace is off limits from May-September, but in the winter months it is available and wood is provided.

Additional Amenities: TV, Wifi, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Desk/Workspace (In Living Room & Master).

As our guest, you will gain shared access to our grounds, to explore and play to your delight: hike on the miles of private trails in the wild forests on the slopes of Panther Mountain, lounge in an old apple orchard, take a dip in the flowing water of the Esopus, and swim laps in the pool. Roast s’mores, cook a meal, or meet some strangers at one of our shared outdoor fire pits scattered around the land. (You’ll also have a private one along with this rental).

Our grounds feature a tennis court, swimming pool, ponds, meadows, volleyball, a tavern and old-timey bowling alley, all within walking distance of the Chalet.

I or another staff member will be either on the land or in the area during your stay. You can reach me by cell phone, email or message.

Within a short drive you can access world class dining, miles of hiking or skiing, and adorable country towns.

Our most numerous neighbors are the trees and wild ones. We are in a rural neighborhood, with other rentals and staff housing on this same land. Other human neighbors are a bit further away.

Right across the street, step into our very own retro tavern, the Slide Mountain Inn.
