Volcano House | *NEW* Fall $ale Volcano Village Comfort Minutes from Kīlauea Adventures

3 Bedroom House in Volcano

Summary:
Trade the beach for rainforest, volcano views, and a home where the evening can end by the fire. This light-filled Volcano Village retreat sleeps eight across three bedrooms and two baths, with a full kitchen, dining table, lanai, grill, and gas-powered fireplace for warming up after a day outdoors. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is right at the edge of the neighborhood, putting you just three miles from the Kīlauea Visitor Center and close to the park's trails, lava tube walks, and ever-changing volcanic landscape. Start with a hike, then come home to grill dinner and share the day's stories beside the fire. ʻŌhelo Cafe and The Rim are minutes away, while Akatsuka Orchid Gardens and Volcano Winery make worthwhile nearby stops. It is a family-friendly choice for guests who want the Big Island's most dramatic natural side and a comfortable place to settle in afterward.
The Space:
This bright three-bedroom, two-bath home sleeps eight and is set up for gathering after a park day. The full kitchen and dining table make family meals easy, while the lanai and grill bring dinner outdoors when the weather cooperates. Later, settle around the gas-powered fireplace with a show on cable TV or a plan for tomorrow's Kīlauea adventure. WiFi is included.
Guest Access:
This home in Volcano offers a private entrance, a cozy indoor fireplace, and a garden view for a peaceful retreat. Towels are provided and wine glasses are included for a nice touch. A laundromat nearby makes this a comfortable choice for longer stays.
The Neighborhood:
Volcano Village is a cool, forested corner of the Big Island beside Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Tree ferns, mist, and native rainforest replace the island's beach-resort scenery, and the park is close for crater viewpoints, hiking, lava tube walks, and coastal overlooks. The Kīlauea Visitor Center is about three miles away, with local cafés, the Volcano Winery, and Akatsuka Orchid Gardens within reach by car. This is not a walkable beach town, and evenings can be cool, which is exactly why it feels so distinct. Choose it for a nature-first family trip where the day's big event may be a hike, a steaming crater, or a clear night sky.
Getting Around:
Hilo International Airport is about 45 minutes away, an easy drive through lush upcountry forest. A rental car is a must for exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and reaching Hilo's beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Volcano village itself is small and walkable for a few local shops and cafes. Parking is generally simple, available on site or along quiet residential streets.

Summary: This is a nice home, very clean, includes a dishwasher, washer and dryer. The description is accurate. About a 10-15 minute drive to Volcano National Park. Home is located in a forest area. The home does not have window coverings in any of the rooms so the light does come in very early. The water is not drinkable. There was a large unopened bottle of water in the refrigerator for use. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes for cooking. A breakfast starter as we have had in other Vrbo's would have been nice. Overall nice place, very clean.
