Positive: The location of the unit on the lower east side of manhattan is good. Close to a subway stop and in the middle of a very busy neighborhood. The apartment did what is was supposed to do, give us a place to lay our heads at night. Beds were comfortable and coffee maker worked well. Just around the corner from famous Katz’s deli.

Negative: Despite being in contact with property management from before boarding the flight to NYC from Los Angeles, then upon arrival at the Newark airport and in the car to the apartment, nobody was there to meet us. After numerous calls and texts (and promises of being 3-5 mins away), it took over an hour for one of the mangers assistants to finally arrive to let us into the unit. Additionally, I was communicating with three different people, none of which were the ones to hand over the keys. After a very long day of travel, this was very disappointing. Finally, the representative said they would find a way to make things right but we were never offered any type of compensation for the issue. Be aware that the unit is directly above a bar that is VERY loud. At night the music can be heard throughout the unit and people are on the street smoking and talking/yelling loudly. Bring earplugs.

Summary: Management fell very short, but the apartment itself met the needs of my family of 5.
