Newton ranked as the best place to live in Massachusetts. Of all the towns and cities in Massachusetts — with 50,000 people or more, that is — Newton is the best place to live, according to Money magazine in Dec 2018.
And my home is literally in the heart of Newton Centre! Walk everywhere! To the subway ( MBTA Newton Centre Green line) in just one minute. Get to Logan International by car in just 20 min. Walk to countless restaurants and cafes... We are also surrounded by great parks, highways, and malls. Boston College is also close.
Security is our top priority - so kindly note - we have security cameras throughout the home- hallways, playrooms, family bedrooms, etc. NO cameras are in the bedroom or bathroom that is for rent.
The room for rent is on third floor of our home- we are offering a bedroom (with queen sized bed) and a private bathroom. Guests are not typically permitted to use the family quarters of the home - just the assigned 3rd floor bedroom room and 3rd floor bathroom. In the bedroom, there is also desk, desk chair, dresser, microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator/ freezer. I also try to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs.
BTW - the bed is a Serta adjustable bed - so you can raise your head or your feet if you like to sleep at an incline, or watch TV in bed. The app is easy to download onto your smart phone.
We have 3 young children and 2 hypoallergenic dogs (2 mini golden doodle). So- although you will have a lot of privacy on the third floor, you may hear noise from time to time coming from the children and dogs. The playroom is on the first floor, so it shouldn’t be heard on the 3rd floor, but perhaps at times it is. The dogs are very friendly - but they bark a lot when someone new comes to the door. They settle in just a minute after they realize that you are a guest.
If you book for 2 people - you will have access to 1 bedroom. If you book 3-4 people you will have access to 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (for an additional cost)

Kindly remove your shoes at the door! Also - if you come into the home late... kindly be considerate and keep the volume down as the children are usually sleeping by 9pm. This not usually a problem... just want to be sure to ask! And... if you are traveling with young children... then my kiddos would be very happy to have playdates and share their toys.
